Fishing at Flint Oak

Remember the simple joy of watching a bobber dancing on the sunlight dappled surface of a quiet creek or lake? The stillness, the peacefulness of it all? How about the thrill of a large mouth bass taking a lure, breaking the surface, and tail walking? Whatever your favorite fishing style, watching a bobber, spinner baits, jig and pig, top water, deep water, with bait or without, Flint Oak is the place to be. We have an excellent variety of the best fishing anywhere.

Indian Lake is our fully stocked 100-acre bass lake, which offers the excitement of a guided fishing trip. The lake is stocked with bass, wiper and blue cats. Both bass species have proven to be super aggressive to all lure presentations. This is due, in part, to our intensive feeding program. This program has also attributed to the five-plus pound bass that have been taken from the lake as well as wipers in the seven-plus pound range. Each trip is three hours with the boat carrying 2 guests and your guide.

Center Lake has large mouth bass, wipers, crappie, catfish and lots of baitfish. We have rental boats available so you can get to the back of the lake where the big bass are hiding, or if you want to go for crappie, take the boat around the shore where the brush is in the water. If you are pining for catfish, grab some bait and give it a throw, then hang on. The creek also offers great bank fishing for bass, crappie and catfish. Or, how about a fishing float trip down Indian creek? Wow, drifting, relaxing and fishing this is the life. Center Lake has lots of activities that guarantee fun for all ages. In addition to fishing it has four sandy beaches, volleyball, horseshoes, picnic areas and easy access to the Pioneer Trail for bird watching or hiking.

Keep in mind, no matter which fishing location or style you prefer, the lodge can supply you with a fantastic picnic lunch. Great fishing, loving family, good friends and fantastic food – that is living!
